Combat Cab, formerly stylized as Combat Cabb, is a private transportation service operating in Night City.
History[]
2011 - 2020s[]
The taxi company began as a four hack people operation in early 2011. Thanks to its colorful staff of cyberwar vets, recovered cyberpsychosis cases, and expatriate corporates, all led by retired solo and mercenary Harrick McGivenay, it soon became a popular local legend in Night City. They offered to take customers anywhere, no matter how dangerous it was, and it also was the only taxi company in Night City that offered their services in the infamous Combat Zone. The company's headquarters were located near the beautiful Lake Park of Central Night City.
In 2013, author Gary Stafford drafted a slightly fictionalized account of CC's adventures during the Mob Wars, and the Metal Wars after. The book was later produced as a movie by director Francesco Cippolina, then taken to TV series in 2017 by Diverse Media Systems, becoming an instant success.
Combat Cabb was known to specialize in ground vehicle transport, with their taxi cabs armored like tanks and armed like AV-9s. CC had also managed to acquired six heavily armed fan panzers, purchased at a government auction after the Central American conflicts. The company's mottoes "We get you there, dead or alive," and "Leave the combat to us," typified the attitude of its freebooting drivers. Despite not being as numerous as other taxi companies, it was the best armed one and had the most skilled drivers in the sector.
By 2020 and since the last three years, hundreds of millions in North America and the rest of the world had been watching each Thursday night DMS' comedy-drama TV series based on CC, faithfully following the adventures of Harrick (portrayed by screen hunk Patrick Lewis-Lyndell), his partner/lover Emmanualle Moore (toughest cabbie in Night City), and the rest of Combat Cabb's lovable cast, making the series one of the highest-rated vid-shows in the history of the United States. Combat Cabb had become a household name throughout the country, and many of its fans travelled to Night City to ride one of the cabs into the Combat Zone, just to say they had done it.[1][2]
2040s[]
In the 2040s, Combat Cabb was still functioning in Night City. The old TV series was known at that time as Combat Cabb Classic, with at least 13 seasons. Another TV series continuation known as Combat Cabb: The Next Generation was also broadcasted.[3]
2070s[]
In the 2070s, the renamed Combat Cab was still providing their services in Night City. Its fleet of armored cabs were said to be resistant to all types of calibers, and they advertised themselves as the only taxi company willing to work inside the Combat Zone of Pacifica and its surroundings. It also seemed Combat Cab had close ties to the 6th Street gang, as many of its cars had both the company and gang's insignias.
By 2077, the rival taxi company Delamain had risen to take over the much of the services around City Center and the neighboring areas, though Combat Cab still had many financed dataterms around Night City.[4]
Database Entry[]
COMBAT CAB
In a city overrun with gang violence, shootings and cyberpsycho attacks, security is at a premium. Anyone traveling to (or, more likely, passing through) the city's sketchiest neighborhoods always dial the number for Combat Cab. As detailed on their site, Combat Cab's fleet of heavily armored vehicles can protect passengers from all weapons across the caliber spectrum. The fact that they are the only transportation company operating within the Combat Zone should speak for itself. In recent years, the Delamain cab service has risen to claim the top market share in the heart of the city, but public dataterms financed by Combat Cab can still be found.[4]

- Slogans include: "We get you there, dead or alive" and "Leave the Combat to us" in 2020;[1] "Get there alive, or your money back" in 2077.[4]
- The Second Comming gang was expecting the 21st century to bring the "Second Coming." When it didn't, they eventually found their belief that it would finally arrive during the final episode of the Combat Cabb TV series.[1]
- In Cyberpunk 2077, yellow Chevillon Thraxes and Archer Hellas with Combat Cab logos appear as parked vehicles or driven by NPCs but serve no function in the game or the story. These can be usually seen in Santo Domingo, noticeably driven by 6th Street.
