Café Chrome was located in the Upper Eastside district of Central Night City.
Overview[]
With jukeboxes and retro decor stylized after the 1950's,[2] Café Chrome was one of the most famous places to go in Night City. During the day, this establishment was enjoyed by many corporates who came here to talk about business interests; during the night, people went to the café to party, being dominated by young people and rocker crowds hoping to encounter one of their favorites stars while enjoying the atmosphere.
Due to the occasional celebrity that went here, Café Chrome's security was tight, especially since famous people brought their own. When all else failed, the building had steel doors rigged to shut tight and fast, blocking all doorways and sealing every room. The building's exterior was a different story, as it was frequented by gangs preying on the weaker young people and wanting to fight corporates.
Café Chrome was accessed via the foyer entrance in the center. The restaurant and kitchens were located on the western side of the building, with the bar and dancefloor to the east. The backdoors were rigged with fire alarms, though visitors feared getting lock in the room if a fire ever occurred and the steel doors closed. The southeastern building was used as a valet parking garage, as such, it was extremely difficult to steal a car from this place.[1]
Notes[]
- P.L. Ellison broadcasted his Style and Substance TV show every Wednesday from Café Chrome.[1]
