Look out, choom! Spoilers from Tales of the RED: Hope Reborn ahead!

Burning Bright Bodega is located in Woodland Park, in the New Westbrook suburb of Night City.

Overview[]

Burning Bright is considered the corner store for the Woodland Park neighborhood, packed up with everything anyone would want as long as it is cheap. The store is always cramped, hot and rammed with items. The counter, located on the backside, is open to one side, giving a clear field of fire. The entrance has a neon open/closed sign, and a data term can be found nearby.[1]

History[]

At some point, Ella Corella inherited the Burning Bright Bodega from her either her grandmother or aunt (no one knew for sure). For Ella, she knew that woman as her aunt, though Ella's parents didn't explain the details prior to their deaths. Ever since, the shotgun-toting owner kept the neighborhood supplied with whatever random selection of items she could stock in her shelves, maintaining the place running with an iron fist. Like the business next door, a recreational substances shop called Breeze, Burning Bright relied on a network of skateboarding kids to offer local deliveries. This was Ella's idea, as she tried to keep the local kids out of trouble by giving them small delivery jobs.[1][2]

In 2045, a group of Albino Alligators led by Tarquin decided Woodland Park was the future of investment in Night City, only needing the locals to sell. When the initial threats didn't work out, she targeted the delivery kids. Ella, knowing no deliveries meant less money and also being protective of the kids, talked with the neighboring businesses to hire a group of mercenaries to handle the situation before it worsened. That same night the Albinos decided to finish their threats by destroying the neighborhood. Whether they were stopped or not depended on the hired mercs. If the Alligators won, except for the Dynalar Campus and Acorn Towers, the rest of Woodland Park was burned down before 6th Street showed up to expel them. Otherwise, the locals and the mercs were able to push out the Albino Alligators from the neighborhood for good.[1]
