BioGenesis is a protest group introduced in Cyberpunk 2020.
History[]
BioGenesis is a protest group which was founded after the apparent "plague bomb" detonation in Chicago which is said to have caused the Wasting Plague. The group protests the unchecked rapid advancement of biotechnology and wants for there to be an international commission formed that makes sure the values of biotechnological research outweigh the risks.
There is a splinter cell of BioGenesis known as OriGens, which is a terrorist group that has undertaken bombings, raids, and assassinations in order to stifle biotechnological development.[1]
