Alaska was a state within the United States of America, which became a Free State in 2000.
History[]
1990s - 2020s[]
Alaska had become one of the breadbasket states after the warming that came with global climate change. The state produced incredible quantities of grain, bio-engineered to thrive in its climate. After Texas became a Free State, Alaska decided to join it, supporting its embargo against the rest of the United States of America, and following its example of passing a bill in an emergency legislative meeting to overturn the precedence of national laws over state laws. The impact that both states' actions had on the national supply of fuel and food allowed them to avoid a civil war, and reach a political compromise with the federal government: their quasi-independent status.[1]
