"This thing is loaded with more good stuff than a Big Buddha Baby Burrito from Capitan Caliente's."

 — Lucius Rhyne, A Visitor's Guide to Night City front cover[1]

A Visitor's Guide to Night City, also called A Nomad's Guide to Night City, is an informational booklet included in the Collector's Edition of Cyberpunk 2077.

Description[]

Whether it's your first time in Night City or you've lived here since Kress administration, this guide has you covered. Get out and explore with our curated selection of the city's top highlights. Impress your friends with nuggets of trivia from our extensive historical overviews of the city and its districts. Navigate NCART like a pro with our revised Transportation section. Hit only the hip parts of Heywood and dodge the gangs with safety tips straight from the NCPD. Whatever your Night City dream is, with this guide in your pocket, it's sure to come true.[1]

Overview[]

The booklet is an in-universe 10€$ 3rd edition guide to Night City. It was funded and published by the City Council with help from Night Corp and the NCPD.

The guide includes an introduction and brief history of Night City, all the way from 1992 to 2074. It offers some practical advices in regards to weather, transportation and NCPD safety warnings, as well as suggestions about media — TV, the Net and radio stations. The guide also explores a little about the six districts of the city — City Center, Watson, Heywood, Westbrook, Santo Domingo, Pacifica — and the Badlands.

This specific booklet has been tempered by Dakota Smith, who has added many notes on the guide, dubbing it as "A Nomad's Guide to Night City."

The guide became the possession of Josie Alcazar[2], until it was found on the 13th of March, 2077 in Coyoacan by NCPD detective River Ward, who brought it as evidence to PO. Baldwin in Heywood's police precinct.[1]

Notes[]

  • The guide was originally meant to help players find the hidden location of the The Highwayman side job, but this idea was eventually scrapped.[2]
