The then-untitled Cyberpunk video game was first revealed to the public at the CD Projekt RED Summer conference in 2012, it was not until late 2012 when the full title of Cyberpunk 2077 was revealed to the public.

Title Reveal[]

The title reveal trailer was posted on October 19th 2012 and revealed the full title as well as showing the new and updated Cyberpunk series logo. At the time The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt had not yet officially been announced, however it was speculated that Cyberpunk would come after the next installment in the Witcher franchise.

Teaser Trailer[]

The teaser shows how the Psycho Squad might acquire a new member. The Psycho Squad specializes in combating "psychos" -- individuals who overuse implants and substances that boost or otherwise alter the human body. There comes a point when they overdose on these innovations, and their bodies start to rebel against their biological body parts as well as all things organic around them. Simply put, they start killing people, who they now derisively call "meatbags."
When a psycho goes on the rampage, strange things can happen. There's carnage, and the psycho might be taken down by regular police, but they're not always able to get the job done. When things spin out of control, they call in MAX-TAC (Maximum Force Tactical Division), popularly called the Psycho Squad.

Cyberpunk 2077 Teaser Trailer

The teaser trailer was posted on January 10th 2013 and was intended to draw talent to work on the upcoming video game rather than a representation of the final product.

The teaser trailer shows the aftermath of a Cyberpsycho rampage in downtown Night City, with the NCPD opening fire on the cyber-enhanced woman. A member of the NCPD Max-Tac (or Psycho-Squad), appears pointing a shotgun at the suspect before the trailer cuts to the title reveal. It is then shown that the woman survived and was recruited into the ranks of the MaxTac NCPD division.[1] The trailer ends with the note Coming: When its ready.

The trailer was created by Platige Image Studios, who have previously worked with CDPR on the cinematic intro videos to both the Witcher and Witcher 2 Enhanced Edition. The music accompanying the trailer is the song Bullets by the band Archive.

Cyberpunk World[]

Uploaded on January 17th 2013, the Cyberpunk World video is a short snippet into the world of the Cyberpunk series by creator Mike Pondsmith whilst he walks through the dark and gloomy backdrop of Seattle, WA. He talks about what inspired him to create the world, what defines Cyberpunk and how CDPR approached him to create the game.
