Little late but to me the world and how it interacts with each element is the best part. It's not an easy thing to achieve. And its personal stories. Gotta love those ones and can't wait to see more of them!
<3!
All 52 states (SoCal, NorCal) are part of the NUSA. The catch is that the Free States have an autonomy the other states doesn't have, and Texas is almost independent but it's technically still part of the US. They just have an even greater autonomy than the other Free States. But overall, every state is still part of the New United States, just with varying degrees of self-governance
They've hired a lot of people to keep the game up, so it won't fade away so easily. Since they have tons of things to fix, they are taking it slow, so I'd say just give it more time. Cyberpunk has quite a fanbase, so if the game gets better, those players will return.
As for DLCs, it is likely some you listed will happen, like the appearance editor. Big expansions, there are currently two that may occur, and the first one has many chances that will be set in Pacifica before the endgame. Likely about the Combat Zone and some kind of death tournament. There are already game files suggesting to that. As for the second expansion, no idea.
2022 will be the year in which CP will manage to survive or truly fade away.
I wasn't able to find any mention, but basically a Joy Toy would be the same as a sexual worker, which have always been present in Cyberpunk. My guess is that they preferred a more neutral term and invented the word Joy Toy for CP2077. But I can't say for sure. You could try asking in CDPR's Cyberpunk official discord: https://discord.com/invite/cyberpunkgame
After a quick look I'd say in 2077, but it is likely they had another name in 2020
It could perfectly go in the 2077 cyberware pages under a 'Notes' section :)
Weren't the flashing lights in the braindance toned down in the first patch?
It's not that he would've find us, it's simply he didn't care about us. His mission was always to take down Arasaka, so us out there was not important to him. He already sent those scary assassins after Takemura so he could tie loose ends. The difference is Yorinobu would probably prefer to avoid killing civilians while his father wouldn't even flinch after leaving a neighborhood completely gone. Either way, knowing the kind of man Saburo was, Yori had to have guts to kill him so he is not as hopeless as some people may think
Same thoughts as Leeloo
The main characters from the Black Dog adventure \o/
It was risky, but the plan did work in the end. If Saburo had never appeared they would have escaped with the chip. Also in the quests to prepare for the Heist they said that Yori didn't have any guard with him, apart from Smasher, but that bit I guess was the main mistake. But yeah, in the end Saburo would have killed everyone in NC just to get the chip back so even though it was bad for Jackie, Yori ending his father was the best outcome for everyone involved
If you are talking about CP2077 gameplay the answer is not. If you are talking about the RPGs in which you create your own character and yadayada then I'd say you can. Look at Adam Smasher. Basically you can replace almost any part of your body so you can be either taller and more muscular, or smaller and slimmer. As another example, Alt Cunningham is said to have changed much of herself too. Basically, to summarize, lorewise you can. In terms of the videogame gameplay, then no. I hope this is what you were asking :D
The story is based on the same one in Firestorm Shockwave, the ending adventure. The difference is that parts of that book are not canon, in consequence, when the story was ported to RED they cut about 60% of it and left out many details. I guess that's why it feels it needs work, because it's incomplete. Maybe we'll get a more detailed version someday,
