It was risky, but the plan did work in the end. If Saburo had never appeared they would have escaped with the chip. Also in the quests to prepare for the Heist they said that Yori didn't have any guard with him, apart from Smasher, but that bit I guess was the main mistake. But yeah, in the end Saburo would have killed everyone in NC just to get the chip back so even though it was bad for Jackie, Yori ending his father was the best outcome for everyone involved
